What is a SET OF INFORMATION (SOI)?
A “set of information”, or SOI, is the precise information that a BIM actor needs for a specific BIM use. An SOI may contain graphical representations, metadata and documentation. It is delivered at a drop point. With an SOI, we are providing a specific BIM actor with just the information they need at that moment. It’s a simple concept which can add tremendous efficiency to any BIM process.
